Job Responsibilities:
- Perform database installations, configurations, and upgrades for SQL Server environments.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Assist with Database integration and consolidation of ERP SQL Databases of existing and newly acquired organizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data integrity problems, and security vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, data encryption, and backups.
- Design and implement database maintenance plans, including regular backups, index rebuilding, and database consistency checks.
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schema design for performance and scalability.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to SQL databases.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2 + years of professional experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and its various components.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Familiarity with database security concepts and best practices.
- Understanding of backup and recovery strategies for SQL databases.
- Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, such as clustering, mirroring, and log shipping.
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
