Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in fleet management, vehicle coordination, or a similar role within the car rental, transportation, or automotive industry is preferred. Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Proficient with fleet management software and MS Office (Excel, Word). Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up and dropping off containers from the NY/NJ ports to our yard or to customer locations. This is a key role that requires experience in port operations and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities: Safely drive a Class A commercial vehicle, picking up and delivering containers between the NY/NJ ports and designated yard or customer locations. Operate both manual and automatic transmissions as required. Ensure proper loading and unloading of containers. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Ensure timely deliveries and pickups as scheduled. Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and driving hours. Requirements: CDL Class A Driver’s License is required. Must possess a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). 2 years of experience working at ports or in container transportation.
