From protocol activation through patient enrollment and ongoing study management, the Nurse Coordinator ensures that all clinical trials are conducted safely, ethically, and in full compliance with regulatory standards. This position is essential in advancing cancer care through innovation while delivering compassionate, patient-centered support. Procedures performed in the Cath lab include the following: left and right heart catheterizations along with percutaneous intervention as necessary, intracoronary ultrasound, rotational atherectomy, balloon pump insertion, Impella insertion, left atrial appendage closure, catheter-directed thrombolysis for pulmonary embolization, structural procedures (TAVR, Mitra Clip), neurovascular cerebral angiograms, stroke treatment, carotid stenting, treatment of cerebral aneurysms with coiling and pipeline interventions, peripheral and renal angiograms with intervention as necessary, Watchmen, CardioMEMs, and Electrophysiology (cardiac devices, ablations, PVI’s, laser lead extractions).
