Job Description Jefferson, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Superintendent 2 to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from project startup through successful completion and closeout. The Superintendent 2 will provide on-site leadership, coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, maintain project schedules and safety compliance, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity offering an annual salary of $90,000. Essential Duties: • Provide leadership and accountability on commercial construction job sites in coordination with the Project Manager, • Manage daily construction activities from project startup through project completion and closeout, • Coordinate and communicate project schedules with subcontractors, vendors, field staff, and stakeholders, • Conduct preconstruction meetings and participate in weekly project coordination meetings, • Review construction documents, specifications, estimates, and subcontract scopes for accuracy and compliance, • Develop and maintain project schedules, including weekly 3-week lookahead schedules, • Coordinate sequencing of work, inspections, temporary facilities, equipment, and site logistics, • Monitor project progress, upload daily reports/photos, and maintain accurate jobsite documentation in project management software, • Oversee punch list completion and project closeout activities, • Implement and enforce field quality control and safety plans in accordance with OSHA standards, • Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and ensure all required safety signage and SDS documentation are maintained, • Identify construction issues early and coordinate solutions through RFIs and project team collaboration, • Manage labor, equipment rentals, company tools, payroll, and project-related documentation, • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors, • Supervise Superintendent 1 personnel, Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and crews, • Participate in recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, and employee development activities, • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, budgets, and safety requirements Requirements/Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, and/or minimum of 5 years of commercial construction field management experience, • Strong experience managing commercial construction projects from inception to completion, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and project management software, • Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and commercial construction best practices, • OSHA 30 Certification required, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications, • Experience coordinating subcontractors, field supervisors, and construction crews, • Strong scheduling, organizational, multitasking, and time management skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Knowledge of construction budgeting, sequencing, quality control, and contracting procedures, • Ability to identify discrepancies in construction documents and coordinate RFIs as needed, • Must maintain a professional working relationship with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and coworkers, • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required, • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the workday, • Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds, • Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments, • Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods, • Exposure to varying weather conditions, airborne particles, dust, loud noise, vibration, and moving mechanical equipment on job sites, • Ability to effectively communicate information and observe detailed construction activities and documentation, • Regular attendance and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as project demands require Equal Opportunity Statement: Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
