Bridge Engineer II.
OverviewWe are looking for a Field Engineer who is highly dependable and with a strong work ethic who will be working in Miami Florida reviewing CIP/precast segmental operations and segment erection of arch structures. Preferably, the candidate will have previous segmental construction and cable supported structures construction experience. This Engineer will be a registered professional engineer in the State of Florida with solid engineering principles and code knowledge. This individual must have the ability to use computer software for geometry control. Most of the time will be spent in the field office monitoring the casting operations. On occasion, this individual will go to the project office to attend project meetings. The Field Engineer shall be able to work in a collaborative work environment and eager to learn from others, he strongly values relationships and interaction with people, can maintain a balanced perspective about change and adapt when necessary, is an analytical thinker with above-average problem-solving skills, and has exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Responsibilities* Has experience in designing precast and/or prestressed concrete components and/or structures.* Ability to prepare engineering calculations, structural drawings, and details.* Verify construction documents to field conditions. that field conditions satisfy construction documents.* Ability to work as part of a team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines.* Ability to check drawings and to coordinate with clients (architects, other engineers, general contractors, etc.).* Working knowledge of codes such as ASBI, PCI, AASHTO, ACI, ASCE, etc.* Capable of running computer software for geometry control.* Coordinating and working with inspectors for field reviews, data collection and analysis, studies and forecasting.* Assist in collecting and managing data for engineering or construction work such as to perform quantity take-offs for development of...
