Our client is in need of hiring an Engineering Technician to be the final stage of new equipment check out and run off before it is shipped to a customer. Once a new automated machine has been assembled this Tech will be responsible for ensuring that it has been assembled according to the design. Then they will dump the PLC program in the machine, testing and debugging the functionality of mechanical and pneumatic systems, HMI screens, and communications. Lastly, this person will finalize approval of the machine with Engineering, Project Management and sometimes customers before it is shipped out.Our client is a typical manufacturing and assembly environment. Their machinery is beginning to get more and more automated. Shift/Schedule Four, 10s. M-Th. (Fridays are when needed overtime is worked)6am-4:30pmThis position will typically work around 45 hours per week. OT is paid after 40 hours. Qualifications:- 2 year degree in Engineering or related field- 1-5 years' experience with machinery troubleshooting and debugging, including control panels and electrical circuitry- 1-5 years' experience with programming industrial hardware and software:Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000 PLC's, Siemens S7 would be a great value add for their European customersPanel View/RS View HMIIndustrial CommunicationsVFD's and ServosAbility to interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics All qualified candidates are encouraged to APPLY TODAY!
