Job DescriptionSalary: $50,000-$55,000 The Bowery Mission is a Christian, faith-based organization committed since the 1870s to serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative community with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish. As a key member of the Development Team, the Events Coordinator serves donors who provide critical funds necessary to extend compassionate care and transform lives at The Bowery Mission. The Coordinator will assist in administrative, coordinating duties related to the execution of tasks for all events for which the Events team is responsible in full or in part. This is a highly administrative role and during event time, a demanding role, often involving longer hours of work. The ability to persevere, follow-through, and problem solve is crucial. This job requires on-site presence at least four days a week and during event times, longer hours as needed to support in the successful execution of the event. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Assist the Event Manager with the planning and execution of all Fundraising, Cultivation Events and Thanksgiving. Fundraising Events (Valentines Gala, Inspiring Hope: Spring Benefit Lunch, and Summer Social., • Work with the Events Manager and Director of Events & Volunteer Services to divide events tasks as relevant., • Maintain and update tasks assignments for relevant events within project management software (currently Asana)., • Record and submit for payment, event expenses in a timely manner to ensure costs are managed within budget, promptly reporting any overruns to the Events Manager., • Supervise and execute operational events details (including packing and loading materials, unloading at event venue, set up at venue and post- event clean-up). This will include some heavy lifting at times., • Manage all cultivation events by establishing timelines and deadlines with collaborating departments and individuals. Monday - Friday: 9:30am-6:00pm Requirements: • Embraces the organizations Statement of Faith., • 2+ years events or project management experience., • Bachelor's Degree., • Advanced software knowledge including Microsoft Office and proficiency with CRM databases., • Interpersonal skills and some customer service experience are essential., • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines are necessary. About the role: We are looking for an Event Manager to join our team. In this role, you will design and execute events that showcase Garner to our key audiences. Events are a critical opportunity to raise Garner's brand awareness and drive touchpoints with existing and potential customers. You'll work closely with the Events team, as well as the broader Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to translate events into pipeline growth. You'll also manage relationships with external partners to produce high-end events and curate expert speakers, supporting Garner's position as a thought leader in the healthcare cost transformation. Job Description The Senior Events Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with meeting and event management on logistical implementation of organizational meetings and events. The Senior Events Coordinator manages meeting data, assists with contract negotiation, and aids Hadassah departments with the coordination of registration and other tasks involved in the successful implementation of Hadassah’s National Convention, Mid-Winter meetings, and special events. Duties and Responsibilities • Facilitate hotel and travel for all in-person Executive Committee Meetings, • Facilitate Request for Proposal process for all national meetings up to 75 attendees., • Work with Director, Special Events & Meeting Services on contracts for smaller meetings., • Work with Marketing & Communications Team designing registration materials including delegates, guest, speaker and staff registration forms., • Coordinate the writing and production of meeting materials with Marketing & Communication, • Prepare BEO’s and coordinate logistical arrangements for meeting interfacing with all organizational departments to acquire this information., • Coordinate and assign hotel meeting space with meeting room requests., • Prepare a guide booklet interfacing with all organizational departments., • Process purchase orders, invoices, check requests and other budget matters., • Contact meeting venues to confirm arrangements; troubleshoot and solve problems with venues., • Review meeting room set-ups; ensures that facilities are satisfactory., • Implement all onsite hotel logistics and BEO arrangements at meetings., • Work with production team in identifying audiovisual needs., • Provide day-to-day support to Director, Special Events & Meeting Services, • BA or 4+ years equivalent work experience, • Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, database), • Knowledge of PowerPoint preferred., • Background in meeting planning and logisticsRequired Skills, • Travel required for in-person Midwinter and Midyear meetings for onsite logistics coordination., • Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events, • Must be able to deal effectively and courteously with all levels of staff and volunteers when in pressure situations., • Attention to detail., • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Description The mission of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Inc. (“JALC”) is to entertain, enrich and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy. From college students to young stars, from working professionals to celebrated masters, we present quality jazz for an ever-increasing audience in an unprecedented range of activities and a variety of venues. JALC has created a dynamic platform where our key constituents – jazz artists (beginner to grizzled veteran), fans (casual listeners to advanced scholars), educators (local band leaders to leading artist-educators) and advocates (local community advocates to important national promoters) – can meet, engage, learn, and work towards common objectives. The Assistant Director, Events is responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of events in Frederick P. Rose Hall, Dizzy’s Club, private residences, and other venues in support of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Development team. Management includes internal and external communications, drafting and sending invitations, tracking RSVPs, and updating donor records. They are responsible for planning and executing cultivation events in close coordination with multiple stakeholders across the organization. The Assistant Director also works closely with and supports the Director of Events on the annual Gala and other major cultivation events. They interact directly with Jazz at Lincoln Center senior leadership, members of the Board of Directors, and other important donors. Responsibilities • Partner and collaborate with the Director of Events and other Development team members to plan and successfully execute 30+ events annually, managing a portfolio of events and overseeing the Events Manager’s portfolio as well., • Strategize on different fundraising approaches for the Gala to successfully hit the $3M fundraising goal and support the Director of Events on all planning and execution., • Build the primary event calendar each season for all Development-related events and work with the Events Manager to maintain and update all ancillary timelines., • Manage internal communications and tracking for collateral, RSVPs, catering, and production needs with colleagues across the institution including Concerts & Touring, Brand, Sales & Marketing, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Dizzy’s Club, and Great Performances, JALC’s in-house caterer., • Compile and manage invitation lists and record attendance in Tessitura., • Track expenses and manage event budgets., • Ensure consistent high-quality service and execution standards when working with clients and staff., • Coordinate special projects for the Leadership team as assigned., • Oversee Events administrative folders, work with the events team to build Event SOPs, and propose new systems to streamline the event planning process., • Evening and weekend work required; domestic travel as needed. Qualifications Required • Minimum five years of experience in events management, logistics, and/or project management., • Proven track record in the planning and execution of a major fundraising event with at least 600 guests., • Demonstrated success in raising a minimum of $2 million through a single major fundraising event., • Extremely detail-oriented with deep appreciation for the customer experience., • Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills., • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with frequent and specific deadlines., • Solid problem-solving skills and sound judgment; ability to pivot at a moment’s notice., • Ability to work under pressure with diplomacy, discretion, and tact., • Consistently maintains a calm and focused demeanor in high-stakes environments., • Expertise in list management, including segmentation, tracking, and accuracy., • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as determined by event needs. Preferred • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent education certification., • Experience planning nonprofit membership events, particularly in the arts and culture sector., • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; proficiency with e-mail marketing programs such as Wordfly., • Experience with managing and tracking seating for large-scale dinners and theaters., • Experience with a CRM system; knowledge of Tessitura is ideal., • Ability to take initiative and work independently., • A sense of humor is a plus.
