Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Foreman Job Description The Electrical Foreman oversees and performs electrical installations, including wiring, lighting, panels, conduit systems, and device installations from 120 to 480 volts. This role combines hands-on field work with leadership responsibilities to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule in commercial environments. Responsibilities • Install, wire, and terminate electrical panels and lighting systems for voltages ranging from 120 to 480 volts., • Run, install, and secure conduit systems, including precise conduit bending for various layouts and conditions., • Install electrical boxes, outlets, and related devices according to project specifications and codes., • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics to plan and execute installations., • Lead and guide field electricians, ensuring work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines., • Troubleshoot electrical systems, identify issues, and implement effective repairs or corrections., • Verify that all wiring, conduit runs, and terminations meet applicable codes and standards., • Coordinate daily tasks on job sites, including organizing materials, tools, and work areas., • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project teams, and other trades to support smooth project execution., • Maintain and use personal hand tools and cordless drill safely and efficiently on all assigned tasks.Essential Skills, • 3–10 years of electrical experience in commercial or similar environments., • Proficiency in wiring systems for 120–480 volt applications., • Strong conduit bending skills, including planning and executing accurate bends., • Ability to run, install, and support conduit in a variety of building conditions., • Experience installing boxes, outlets, lighting, and panels., • Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical drawings., • Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues., • OSHA 30 certification., • Ownership and proficient use of personal hand tools and a cordless drill.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience working on commercial office building projects., • Demonstrated ability to lead or oversee field crews on job sites., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to electrical safety and quality., • Ability to organize work, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing site conditions.Why Work Here? Work Environment The typical work schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. Work is primarily performed on job sites in Long Island office buildings, focusing on commercial environments. The role is field-based and hands-on, requiring regular use of hand tools, cordless drills, and conduit bending equipment in active construction or renovation settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hauppauge, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
