Responsibilities Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, coloring, and special occasion styles with precision and flair.Assist senior stylists with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and makeup application to enhance client satisfaction.Maintain salon sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to client needs, offering professional advice on hair care products and styling options.Support store management with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and handling retail transactions.Engage in retail sales by upselling hair care products, retail math skills, and promoting additional services like nail care or hair treatments.Mentor new team members in hair styling techniques, sanitation procedures, and customer service excellence to foster a collaborative team atmosphere.Requirements Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling; additional skills in color theory and straight razor shaving are a plus.Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.Proficiency in performing hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application preferred.Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members while providing exceptional service.Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety protocols.Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling products and retail math calculations to meet sales goals.Passion for continuous learning in areas like store management, mentoring others, and expanding technical skills such as hair threading or barbering.Embrace your passion for beauty in a lively environment where your skills make a real difference!
