As the CDL Lead Instructor, you will oversee the daily operations of the Commercial Driving School, including managing Instructors involved in delivering training and related services. You will be responsible for setting team objectives, monitoring performance, and ensuring accountability. In this role, you will serve as a Responsible Party under the State of Alabama DHSMV Third Party Administrator contract and are expected to fulfill all associated duties. You will delegate tasks, supervise team members, and provide the guidance and motivation needed to optimize departmental performance. In collaboration with the Director of Testing, you will develop fair and objective work schedules that support both school productivity and regulatory compliance. FleetForce is one of Florida's oldest and largest CDL Truck Driving schools and opening locations all over the state. FleetForce specializes in the development and implementation of customized CDL training programs for our corporate partners across America who want to aggressively expand. FleetForce is a licensed third-party CDL Test Administrator for the State of Alabama. Job Responsibilities: • Communicate and maintain good working relationships with internal and external individuals., • Demonstrate effective leadership-Motivation, Instruction and Discipline., • Act as the school representative in ways that will strengthen the profile and build relationships., • Ensure policies and procedures, both internally and in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, are communicated from the top all the way down to ensure they are always followed., • Manage sensitive issues to maintain the school’s good reputation., • Prepare and file documents in accordance with your individual job description., • Prepare and file documents as required under State and Federal Guidelines., • Maintain a Quality Assurance oversight program in accordance with the CDL Third Party Administrator Contract., • Strategically create schedules for students for Training and Testing in accordance with available team members., • Maintain ELDT compliance as well as compliance with all other State and Federal agencies for self, trainers under your command, and for the facility location., • Perform all other related duties as requested by the CEO/Owner of FleetForce. Job Requirements: • At least three (2) years of driving experience preferred., • Required to have a High School Diploma or Equivalency., • Must be 21 years of age or older., • Ability to pass a pre-employment Background and Drug/Alcohol test., • Must be able to provide Driver’s License, MVR, and DOT Medical Certificate., • Must meet FMCSA Requirements., • You must be proficient enough in English to understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, make entries on reports and records, and converse with the public., • Knowledge of Commercial Driver License programs is not required but requested., • Knowledge of Microsoft Computer Programs., • Strong Organization, Time Management Skills, and ability to set Priorities., • Ability to read and interpret Statutes, Policies and Procedures., • Strong communication, Interpersonal skills, and Attention to Detail, • Ability to build relationships with internal teams.
