Job Overview
Steady Steps Counseling is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical oversight, guidance, and supervision to our LAC and LSW staff, supporting their professional development and ensuring the delivery of ethical, effective, and high-quality client care. The role will include providing regular supervision, case consultation, support with clinical decision-making, and guidance related to treatment planning, documentation, risk assessment, and professional development. The Clinical Supervisor will also help ensure that clinical practices remain consistent with professional standards, New Jersey licensing requirements, and the values of Steady Steps Counseling.
Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to eligible clinicians and supervisees.
  • Support clinicians in developing effective treatment plans and appropriate clinical interventions.
  • Review clinical documentation and provide feedback regarding quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Provide consultation regarding complex cases, risk assessment, crisis situations, and clinical decision-making.
  • Support clinicians in maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and ethical standards.
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing clinical development of therapists.
  • Promote the use of evidence-based and client-centered therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain appropriate supervision documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership regarding clinical needs, policies, and quality improvement.
  • Remain current with applicable New Jersey social work regulations, licensing requirements, and ethical standards.

Experience

  • Current, valid New Jersey LCSW license in good standing.
  • Clinical supervision experience required.
  • Experience providing outpatient mental health services.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, risk assessment, and ethical standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide supportive, constructive, and clinically appropriate supervision.
