Job Responsibilities & Qualifications: Effective in installing and troubleshooting heating, air conditioning units. Exceptional knowledge of providing technical assistant with the design and implementation of HVAC systems. Strong background in reading and interpreting instructions and safety procedures associated with HVAC processes. Proven ability to read schematics and work plans. Absolute understanding of local building codes. Knowledge of basic and advanced building components in relation to HVAC systems. Solid knowledge of using hand and power tools. Physically dexterous to handle tasks effectively in extreme weather conditions. Highly experienced in handling electronic and mechanical systems effectively. Well-versed in installing and repairing pumps, motors, fan coils and piping. Great ability to determine whether a part of a system or the system in whole can be repaired or will need to be replaced. Knowledge and ability to perform preventative and general maintenance tasks on HVAC systems. Deep understanding of fabricating equipment parts to meet specialty needs or replace parts that may not be readily available. Install and maintain diverse heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems Lay out wires and pipes to complete HVAC systems. Perform general and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. Ensure that all installations are done in accordance to the set standards. Make sure that any loose wires are connected and secured properly. Ensure calibration of thermostats and other controls. Fabricate parts in case parts are not readily available. Determine need for upgrading HVAC systems and take measures to take necessary actions. The Office Administrator with a construction background will provide essential administrative support to a construction company or construction project team. This role involves handling office tasks, managing communication, assisting with project documentation, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, emails, and other correspondence related to construction projects. Manage office schedules, appointments, and meetings for project managers or other senior staff. Prepare and distribute internal memos, reports, and project documentation. Document Control and Management: Maintain and organize construction documents, contracts, and permits. Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents and proposals. Track project schedules and ensure timely submission of reports and documentation. Maintain a filing system for easy access to project-related documents (both digital and paper). Project Coordination: Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for project-related needs. Monitor the progress of projects and help ensure deadlines and budget requirements are met. Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts and change orders. Procurement and Inventory Management: Assist in managing the procurement of construction materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure the timely delivery of materials to job sites. Track inventory levels and manage stock of office and construction-related supplies. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all necessary paperwork for regulatory compliance (permits, inspections, etc.) is up to date. Maintain safety records and ensure safety procedures are followed on-site. Proven experience in administrative roles, with preference for experience in the construction industry. Knowledge of construction processes, industry terminology, and project management practices. Familiarity with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.) and construction-related software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Preferred Skills: Previous experience in a construction office or project management role. Knowledge of accounting and financial principles related to construction. Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Working Conditions: Office-based position with occasional visits to construction sites.
