Job Description We are seeking a hands-on and highly disciplined Senior Operations Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of the sales order production departments. This role is responsible for operational reliability, quality control, staffing strategy, workflow efficiency, supply inventory coordination, and vendor relationship management across a multi-department production environment. Key Responsibilities: • Model operational discipline, accountability, and leadership presence across all departments., • Complete immersive cross-functional training across all sales order operations departments to gain full operational command of workflows, systems, and interdependencies., • Partner with department heads and team leads to coordinate production flow, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain operational alignment., • Own production schedule integrity and SLA adherence. Proactively identify capacity constraints and implement structural workflow improvements to ensure peak-season readiness., • Drive measurable gains in productivity, throughput, and quality while protecting margin and minimizing rework., • Serve as an escalation point for interdepartmental operational issues and ensure timely, structured resolution., • Maintain a safe and compliant production environment by enforcing established standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements., • Elevate financial risk, inventory exposure, or systemic operational concerns to operations leadership with actionable recommendations., • Develop and execute dynamic staffing and cross-training plans to ensure operational continuity during peak cycles, vacancies, or unexpected demand fluctuations., • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations., • Order and monitor production supplies, materials, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted operational flow., • Maintain adequate inventory levels through disciplined forecasting, usage tracking, and timely replenishment., • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with approved vendors to ensure reliable service, clear communication, and timely issue resolution., • Following successful immersion and demonstrated operational mastery, assume direct oversight of the five (5) sales order production departments. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred., • 5+ years’ experience in multi-department operations leadership within a production or manufacturing environment., • Proven track record of improving production efficiency and process improvement., • Experience implementing lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives., • Exceptional leadership and communication skills., • Familiarity or certification in LEAN SIX SIGMA and Project Management Methodologies preferred., • Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements: • Fast-paced production setting with tight deadlines., • This role requires frequent presence on the production floor, including extended periods of standing and occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs., • Physically able to bend/kneel/walk/stand, in tandem with cart, stepstools or rolling ladders, to access supplies and various works in progress or other materials as needed in storage rooms or production areas., • Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evening or weekend work based on production needs., • Good vision, with or without corrective lenses, to sustain adequate visual focus over a period of time.
