Job DescriptionDescription: A&E Real Estate A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area with a focus on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves and manages the properties, and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City. Job Responsibilities • The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks related to the firm’s accounts payable work., • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, printing and mailing checks, processing desktop scanner deposits, going to post office /Fedex drop off location if needed., • Accurately prepares deposit slips for deposits to be processed through the desktop scanners., • The position is 3 days a week in office. Requirements: Qualifications • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, including debits and credits, accounts payable, and general ledger coding., • Experience with accounts payable processes, including printing checks, matching invoices, verifying approvals, and processing voids or stop payments., • Familiarity with property management software, preferably Yardi., • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is considered a strong transferable skill., • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required for this part-time position., • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel., • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles through coursework or practical experience., • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills., • Ability to follow established procedures, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment., • Eagerness to learn, take direction, and develop professionally., • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
