POSITION: Food Runner / Dish Presenter
We’re hiring food runners for a high-end Japanese restaurant that offers a refined and immersive dining experience. This role goes far beyond simply delivering plates — we’re looking for individuals who can present each dish with precision, poise, and personality, just like in a Michelin-starred setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Memorize and fluently describe 40–50 meticulously crafted dishes, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and origin stories.
Present each dish tableside with clarity and enthusiasm, enhancing the guest experience through storytelling and detailed knowledge.
Work closely with chefs and servers to ensure timing, pacing, and service are impeccable.
Assist with upselling premium items, limited specials, and beverage pairings in a subtle, elegant manner.
Maintain a composed, gracious presence on the floor at all times.
Who You Are:
Passionate about food and hospitality, with an eagerness to learn about Japanese cuisine and culture.
Sharp memory and strong verbal communication skills.
Experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality is preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate.
