We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to collaborate closely with our Executive Chef. This pivotal hands-on leadership role is instrumental in supporting the daily execution and long-term development of our kitchen operations. You will work directly alongside the Executive Chef, bringing our menu and culinary vision to life by leading the line, managing prep and organization, and ensuring consistent excellence across all kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and collaborate with the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, staffing, and inventory management.
  • Oversee food preparation activities, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques, sanitation practices, and fostering teamwork to maintain high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Lead the kitchen line during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage prep schedules and kitchen organization.
  • Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, line cooks, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of proven experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Cook.
  • A degree in culinary arts is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain productivity and composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, specialized events, and holidays.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30-60 lbs.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
