Key responsibilities:
Driving:
Operate a truck on assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Cargo Handling:
Securely load and unload cargo, verifying quantities and accuracy of deliveries.
Vehicle Inspection:
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition, including checking tires, lights, fluids, and brakes.
Route Planning:
Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines, considering traffic conditions and regulations.
Log Keeping:
Maintain accurate driving logs, including hours of service and rest breaks.
Maintenance Reporting:
Report any mechanical issues to dispatch or maintenance personnel.
Compliance:
Adhere to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers at delivery points, ensuring proper documentation and handling any issues
