We pick up in NJ/NY/PA as close as possible to our home terminal, and deliveries happen in MA/RI/NH/ME.
the backhaul is always coming out of Maine and mostly going to the Boroughs of New York.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate and navigate a tractor trailer
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate with dispatch to receive instructions and updates on routes
Qualifications: - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in commercial driving
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Please note that this position requires excellent basic knowledge of the logbook (you don't have to be a genius)
