Job Summary: The Intern Analyst supports Hanwha Shipping’s corporate teams by providing research, reporting, and administrative assistance across commercial, technical, and risk management functions. This internship offers hands-on experience in data organization, project coordination, and business analytics while helping establish the company’s foundation for future fleet operations. The role assists in collecting, validating, and maintaining data across multiple business areas including commercial analysis, technical planning, and compliance tracking to ensure information accuracy and consistency. Working under the guidance of senior analysts and department leads, the intern helps prepare reports, summaries, and presentations that support departmental projects and decision-making. In addition, the intern assists with document control, database updates, and coordination of internal reporting deliverables. The position plays an important part in supporting cross-departmental collaboration, improving data processes, and contributing to Hanwha Shipping’s goal of building an efficient, data-driven foundation for future operational success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining data across commercial, technical, and risk management departments to support reporting and project planning., • Conduct basic research and data entry related to market trends, vendor information, and internal cost or performance tracking., • Help prepare summaries, charts, and simple reports under the guidance of senior analysts and department supervisors., • Support documentation control by updating internal records, templates, and department files to ensure accuracy and consistency., • Coordinate with team members to gather information for monthly and quarterly reports and assist in formatting and compiling materials for review., • Contribute to the organization of project schedules, meeting notes, and task tracking to support departmental efficiency., • Participate in cross-departmental projects that introduce the intern to commercial operations, technical planning, and corporate risk management., • Assist in reviewing data for completeness and accuracy to support reporting quality and compliance with company standards., • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling company information or working on sensitive assignments. Basic Qualifications and Skills: • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Geography, or a related field., • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to collect, review, and interpret data accurately., • Interest in the maritime, logistics, or energy sectors and a desire to learn how commercial, technical, and risk functions operate within the industry., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with a willingness to learn additional data or reporting tools as needed., • Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow instructions, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail., • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare summaries and participate in team discussions professionally., • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn from hands-on experience in a collaborative, multicultural environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US before joiningHanwha.
