Job DescriptionCost Accountant--Construction Cost Accountant Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to support profitability and compliance efforts on commercial construction projects. The primary objective of this role is to manage and analyze cost data and assist in the preparation of financial reports. The Cost Accountant will ensure that our cost accounting systems are compliant with GAAP standards and will provide insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability. NOTE: this position is office based, but the chosen candidate can report out of the office closest to them in either CA, CO, TX, or FL. E: Key Responsibilities • Prepare and maintain cost accounting records and reports, • Analyze production costs and recommend cost-effective measures, • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and variances, • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making, • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies, • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, • Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role, • Strong understanding of GAAP principles, • Proficient in cost accounting and financial analysis, • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, • $55,000 - $75,000 base salary (based on experience), • PTO, • Sick Leave, • Health/Dental/Vision, • 401k with match, • Opportunities for career advancement - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
