Job Title: Tearista Location: Teaful Bronx, NY Job Type: Part-Time About Us:Teaful is a cozy and inviting tea room and cafe located in the boogie down Bronx. We pride ourselves on offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy premium teas, freshly brewed coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. Our mission is to provide exceptional service and create an accessible space to build community. Position Overview:We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Tearista to join our team. As a Tearista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tea and coffee, as well as a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including tea, coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty drinks Take customer orders and answer questions about our menu offerings Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee machines, tea stations, and cafe seating areas Operate cash register and handle cash and credit transactions accurately Assist in preparing and serving light food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and salads Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing friendly and efficient service Restock inventory as needed and report any issues with equipment or supplies Follow food safety and cleanliness standards, maintaining a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations Desired Qualifications: Previous tearista/barista experience preferred, but not required Food Protection Certificate (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Passion for tea, coffee, and providing a positive experience for customers Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Benefits: Competitive hourly wage Employee discounts on food and beverages Opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive environment Teaful is an equal opportunity employer.
