Job DescriptionWelder / Fabricator - Aluminum Exhibit Components Title: Welder / Fabricator - Aluminum Exhibit Components Location: Woodridge, IL 60517 (Southwest Chicago) Hourly Pay: $25 - $28 / Hour + Overtime Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm Founded in the early 2000s, we are a 600+ employee large-format graphics, exhibit systems, display hardware, and event/retail visual communications manufacturer with multiple US locations. We support exhibit houses, event production companies, retail brands, marketing agencies, and trade show partners. With continued growth in metal fabrication, new product lines, and expanded production capabilities, our organization is adding skilled Welders/Fabricators to support rising demand and fast-turn exhibit component production. The Welder/Fabricator will weld, fit, and assemble aluminum tubes, extrusions, and metal components used in custom exhibit structures, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency across all builds. What You Will Be Doing • Fit, join, and weld aluminum tubes, extrusions, and metal components using TIG welding techniques according to engineering drawings and production specs, • Read and interpret blueprints, templates, and layout instructions to determine material requirements and build sequences, • Position, align, clamp, and weld parts using jigs, fixtures, and hand tools to create complete units and subassemblies, • Operate fabrication equipment including benders, drill presses, grinders, punch presses, and saws to cut, form, and prepare metal components, • Inspect welds, verify dimensions, and perform quality checks using squares, rulers, and measuring tools to ensure products meet spec, • Cross-train and assist with multi-component fabrication tasks as needed to support production workflow, • 3+ years TIG welding or metal fabrication experience (aluminum strongly preferred), • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and layout details with strong measurement accuracy, • Experience using jigs, clamps, grinders, saws, drill presses, and standard fabrication tools, • Ability to lift, push, and maneuver 50 lbs and work on ladders, scaffolds, or confined spaces as needed, • Experience welding aluminum exhibit components or similar lightweight structures, • Multi-process welding experience (MIG/TIG) Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD/STD, 401k with matching) and more!
