Job Description Position Summary The Hybrid Reconstruction/Mitigation Technician is a versatile and critical role, responsible for performing both the initial emergency mitigation services (water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, temporary board-ups) and the subsequent light to moderate reconstruction and repair work necessary to restore the property to pre-loss condition. This role requires technical expertise, a strong commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members. Key Responsibilities Mitigation (Emergency Services) • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls, including after-hours and weekend work, to assess damage and stabilize the structure., • Water Damage: Perform water extraction, demolition of non-salvageable materials, setup and monitoring of drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers), and moisture readings., • Fire/Smoke Damage: Perform structural cleaning, content manipulation, and pack-out/pack-back as needed., • Mold Remediation: Follow established protocols for mold containment, negative air setup, removal, and cleaning, ensuring compliance with safety standards., • Structural Repair: Perform carpentry tasks, including demolition, framing, installing drywall, mudding, taping, and sanding., • Finishing Work: Apply paint, texture, and install baseboards, trim, and minor flooring (e.g., LVT, carpet tack strips)., • Installation: Install insulation, vapor barriers, and minor fixtures (e.g., cabinet re-setting, door hanging)., • Equipment Management: Maintain, clean, and properly store company equipment and vehicles., • Customer Service: Interact professionally and compassionately with customers, explaining the scope of work and addressing concerns. Required • Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in the disaster restoration, construction, or home repair industry., • Proven hands-on experience in both water mitigation (IICRC WRT certification preferred) and basic reconstruction/carpentry (drywall, painting, framing)., • Ability to work flexible hoursValid driver’s license and clean driving record., • IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT)., • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations., • Experience using industry-specific documentation and monitoring software (e.g., DASH, Xactimate).Company DescriptionNational Flood and Fire Network is a full-service flood, fire, mold, asbestos and natural disaster clean-up and repair company.
