Job DescriptionJob Title: WelderJob Description We are seeking a skilled welder to join our production team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read technical documents and blueprints, and efficiently perform welding tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. Responsibilities • Report to the 2nd Shift Lead within the Production department., • Perform work assignments based on skill set, job complexity, and material availability., • Receive materials delivered directly to the workstation by the Warehouse team., • Use shop computer to record labor hours and scan in/out for jobs and shifts., • Read work orders to determine necessary tools, materials, and equipment., • Access and interpret product blueprints via shop computer., • Prepare parts for welding through grinding, sanding, assembling, and tack welding., • Weld and repair products using MIG gun, stick welder, acetylene torch, and other tools., • Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage., • Inspect completed welds and ensure quality before sending products to Paint/Assembly., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area., • Report defective materials or faulty equipment., • Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential Skills, • 2–4 years of welding experience using MIG, stick, acetylene torch, and common hand tools., • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical documents, and blueprints., • Strong attention to detail and a steady hand for precision welding., • Basic math skills related to welding work., • Ability to follow verbal, written, and electronic instructions., • Willingness to complete in-house welding tests., • Physical capability to lift/push/carry 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, work in heat, noise, and fumes.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Comfort working with specialized welding tools and heavy-duty machinery., • Strong listening skills and ability to follow detailed instructions., • Ability to work around heat, noise, and industrial environmental conditions., • Commitment to safety and maintaining equipment.
