Job Description General Contractor specializing in Multifamily rehabs/renovations looking for an Estimator with experience working on large-scale Multifamily Construction projects. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for all estimating and budget development to include:, • Unit quantity estimates and pricing of the work for entire project, • Soliciting vendors (RFP’s) and subcontractors for proposals for the construction work, • Reviewing plans to develop and clarify scope of work, • Reviewing and comparing the scope of work and pricing for the vendor proposals, • Negotiating subcontractor agreements, • Reviewing & negotiating change order requests, • Preparing monthly construction draw requests, • Developing historical cost data base, • Additional responsibilities to include:, • Complete material and labor unit quantity takeoffs using corporate guidelines, • Analyze quantity takeoffs and unit costs for all trades including site work and vertical construction., • Understand unit costing and quantity estimating of construction materials., • Assist in the feasibility, value engineering, bidding, and contracting process., • Assist the Senior Project Manager in creating contractor bid packages for the projects., • Assist in the negotiations of pricing and quantities with multiple contractors to obtain the best pricing for the highest quality materials and services., • Conduct unit costs analysis., • Develop a unit cost data base.
