Job DescriptionStaffing Plus is seeking motivated individuals to fill a temp to hire role for a local wood finisher and manufacturer out of Marshfield MO.We are looking for an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain and repair equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant. No previous experience with electrical systems is required, but basic industrial maintenance skills are a must. Familiarity with basic electrical concepts is a plus. You will work closely with a team of experienced technicians to learn and develop your skills. To be successful in this role, the individual must be a motivated, a self-starter, who is dedicated, resourceful and adaptable. Strong work ethic, with a hands-on approach to solving problems is a must. Join our team and contribute to maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations through your expertise and dedication to safety and quality.Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to keep production running smoothly and reduce unscheduled downtime., • Help troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on equipment like conveyors, bearings, spray equipment, and basic machinery., • Assist in the operation and upkeep of equipment used in the manufacturing process., • Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tag-out procedures., • Work alongside senior technicians to learn about troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, including basic wiring and using tools like multimeters., • Assist with general repairs, including replacing parts or cleaning and lubricating equipment., • Keep your work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained properly., • Report any issues or unusual conditions to supervisors., • Participate in safety training and follow all plant safety rules., • Perform other tasks as needed to help maintain plant operations.Qualifications:, • High School Diploma or GED required., • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, conveyors, basic machines) is preferred., • Familiarity with basic electrical concepts (e.g., using a multimeter) is a plus but not required., • Ability to work well with others and follow instructions from senior technicians., • Basic understanding of safety protocols (such as PPE and lockout/tag-out procedures)., • Willingness to learn and develop new skills., • Good communication skills to report issues and work with others.Work Environment:Plant Environment – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions.Required PPE includes: Safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and pants.Must be available to work at any time, day (including weekends) and rotating shifts.Physical DemandsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job Description Under direction of the Quality Control Supervisor, using standard processes and continuous improvements, the Quality Control Inspector tests components, identifies discrepancies in parts and products, and documents findings in a timely and efficient manner that meet the quality standards to ensure the delivery of world-class products to Tyler Customers. 1. Perform inspections of raw materials and work-in-process parts in all areas of manufacturing and at various stages of the production processes., 2. Perform visual and dimensional inspection with tight tolerance of 1st articles and set up parts to conform to current standard requirements and engineer drawings., 3. Document and report accurate results and maintain records of all inspections performed., 4. Identify and put on hold all non-conforming raw materials, parts, and products, segregate and document findings., 5. Test the performance of clamp assemblies and couplings to determine compliance to company and regulatory requirements in terms of Pre-Torque, Torque, etc. Record and report results of tests performed., 6. Report and maintain constant communication with the Quality Control Manager and/or Supervisor on all quality-related issues in daily production., 7. Communicate and work closely with the concerned team members (Lead, Machine Operator, Mechanic, etc), and make recommendations for corrective actions on any materials, parts, and products that do not meet quality requirements., 8. Participate in trials resulting from modifications in machine parts (die) and settings, new raw materials, processes, and machines through standard inspection and testing., 9. Work with Quality Control Engineer to maintain calibration for test fixtures and tooling, according to required specifications., 10. Assist with daily production operations when required., 11. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical wiring, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and light machining. Job Description • Machine Assembly: Build and assemble custom automation machines from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics., • Electrical Work: Install and wire control panels, sensors, motors, and other electrical components from schematic prints., • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Install and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, valves, and tubing from schematic prints., • Machining: Perform light machining tasks such as drilling, tapping, grinding, and fitting components to precise tolerances., • Testing & Debugging: Conduct functional testing of machines, identify issues, and assist in debugging and final adjustments., • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of builds, modifications, and troubleshooting steps., • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure machines meet applicable standards and regulations.Qualifications, • Minimum 3–5 years in machine building or industrial automation., • Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred but not required., • Experience with Bridgeport, lathe, and manual machining equipment., • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems., • Familiarity with PLC programming or troubleshooting., • Familiarity with CAD software or machine design tools., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and mechanical and electrical schematics., • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (AC/DC, PLC wiring, sensors)., • Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems., • Basic machining skills using hand tools, drill presses, grinders, etc., • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills., • Familiar with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP, MES)., • Familiar with Solidworks or Draftsite CAD software., • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
