Job DescriptionDescription: The Control Technician is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining control systems for custom machinery. This role is crucial in ensuring complex, tailor-made machines operate efficiently and reliably, supporting the company's innovative production capabilities and unique operational requirements. • Installation and Assembly: Set up and assemble control systems and wiring for custom machinery, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and functional., • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems, including PLCs and HMIs, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Assemble electrical components and systems., • Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals for system installations and upgrades., • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance., • Assembly: Assemble electrical components and systems, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards., • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to enhance system performance and implement improvements, • Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime., • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, updates, and repairs., • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards. Support and Training:, • Provide technical support and training to staff to ensure effective operation of control systems.Requirements:, • Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical components., • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings., • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail., • Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Education & Experience • Relevant technical certification or degree preferred., • Proven experience as a Control Technician or in a similar role, with a history of successful installations and maintenance., • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes, or airborne particles., • Work may involve exposure to industrial environments., • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, walking, talking, or listening; use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and others office devices and reach with hands and arms., • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job., • Candidate must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the job utilizing arms, hands, and fingers to perform complex functions of manufacturing parts and performing other duties of the job, e.g., standing, sitting, walking through the facility and stairs, bending, squatting, and kneeling, etc., • Frequently move and maneuver on ladders of varying sizes., • Manual dexterity to manage tools and equipment.
