Job DescriptionDescription: Jason J. Kim Dental Aesthetics, a proud member of Denbright Dental Labs, is a full-service dental lab creating beautiful restorations for dentists across the globe, and we are looking for a Model/Plaster Technician to join our team. If you have experience working in the model/plaster room of a dental laboratory, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a skilled technician to create and pour impressions, mount, articulate, and trim models, and ensure orders are constructed for preparation of final restorations per doctor instructions. Essential Functions • Pour, trim, section and articulate stone models from a patient’s impressions, • Read prescription included with case; assist in construction of prostheses by following doctors’ written instructions, • Utilize and conserve supplies and equipment by completing plaster casting, metal casting, die trimming, metal polishing, wax modeling, wire bending, sandblasting, electroplating, electro-spot welding and CAD/CAM techniques, • Safely use different kinds of hand tools and equipment (electric drills, presses, lathes, high-heat furnaces, sandblasters, paint brushes, grinders, carvers, etc.), • Prepare equipment and materials (fill mixing bins, empty equipment receptacles, etc.)., • Work closely with quality control specialists to address all issues regarding quality standards, • Communicate with colleagues and managers in a prompt articulate manner, • Rely on technical knowledge to make decisions and accomplish departmental goals, • Recognize and report problem cases or cases that need additional prep work, • Follow daily schedule, production goals, and protocols Benefits Jason J.
