We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Manufacturing Foreman with extensive experience in sheet metal work and fabrication to lead our production team. This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and driving productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Attributes We Admire: • Confidence and determination, • Ability to build rapport across diverse personality types, • Active listening skills to truly understand and address customer needs, • Persistence and creativity in problem-solvingYour Key Responsibilities:, • Oversee and coordinate daily activities of the sheet metal and fabrication manufacturing department, • Supervise a team of fabricators, welders, and machine operators to meet production goals, • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to guide fabrication processes, • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and tools; coordinate with procurement as needed, • Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications, • Train and mentor team members on fabrication techniques and equipment use, • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve production issues, • Maintain accurate production records and report performance metrics to management, • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction, • Promptly address any issues impacting safety, quality, or productivity — such as defective materials, worn consumables, or missing components, • Support the manufacturing team in identifying and resolving process bottlenecks or inefficienciesSkills and Qualifications:, • Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, and manufacturing operations, • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or foreman role, • Strong understanding of fabrication machinery (e.g., press brakes, shears, CNC equipment), • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices, • Experience with KUKA/Fronius and OTC robotic systems is a plus, • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, weld symbols, and job specificationsWhy Join National Ramp?
