Job Description Ryder is hiring a CDL A Local Dry Van Driver in Chester, NY. A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. If you decide not to use it – Ryder will pay you the remaining balance at your hourly pay rate., • 12 weeks of PAID Maternity Leave, • Immediate 401k rollover and contributions with company match at one year, • Uniform & boot allowance, • Referral bonus - unlimited conuses for hired drivers, • Quality Employee Discounts, • Discount include Cars, Hotels Worldwide, Electronics/Appliances, Cell Phones, Travel and more, • Home Daily, • Start times vary, • Monday-Friday no weekends, • Route: local, surrounding areas, • Trucks are 36 months or newer, • Dry van, 53', • Equipment: Pallet Jack, Stair Walkers, Forklifts, • Must have a valid CDL A License and valid passport or enhanced license, • Minimum 21 years of age, • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle, • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR, • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR, • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years, • TWIC card preferred, but not required– Ryder will reimburse., • Pass a Ryder Drug Test, • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years, • Pass a DOT physical, • Pass a Ryder road test, • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures, • Must live within 30 miles of Chester, NY Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
