A Bakery Driver for Tatte's NY Bakery understands, embraces, and embodies this purpose and plays an important role within our bakery and cafes. A Bakery Driver is responsible for transporting materials to our various sites and/or customers in a safe and timely manner. This person will be responsible for loading and delivering all products to other cafes. Our delivery trucks are 16 to 22 feet long with a lift gate, so previous experience is strongly preferred. Additionally, the driver will receive work-related assignments from the Bakery Logistics Manager and execute these assignments at our bakery in a safe and timely manner. A successful candidate must be detailed-oriented, has strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, a desire to continually learn and grow and is a team player with excellent communications skills and clean driving record. Essential Functions: • Work with packing team to double check and pack orders into delivery vehicles, • Follow delivery schedule so that baked goods are delivered from our facility in Elmsford to our cafes and catering kitchens in the Tristate area., • Communicate any delivery issues with our Bakery Logistics Manager, • Minimum of 1-year verifiable recent driving experience and a clean driving record., • Valid driver’s license, • Morning shift will be from 3 AM - 11 AM but will need to be available from 1 AM - 1 PM., • Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, manipulate and carry up to 50 pounds, • Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
