Serving as the organization’s operational leader, the Director of Operations translates the CEO’s strategic vision into executable plans, measurable goals, and sustainable operational systems. This role works collaboratively with clinical and administrative leadership to strengthen quality outcomes, improve operational efficiency, support census growth, optimize staffing and resources, and maintain compliance across multiple programs and locations. Success in this role requires the ability to balance people, process, performance, compliance, and growth while maintaining Agape’s Way’s commitment to excellence, integrity, teamwork, faithfulness, compassion, and stewardship. Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership & Strategy • Serve as a senior operational leader responsible for translating the CEO’s vision and organizational priorities into action, • Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies supporting growth, sustainability, quality, and efficiency, • Establish measurable goals, operating priorities, and accountability structures across service lines, • Identify operational barriers and implement practical solutions that strengthen organizational performance, • Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability to operational managers, group home leadership, and support teams, • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and compassionate care, • Provide executive leadership with recommendations regarding operational risks, opportunities, resources, and organizational needsMulti-Site & Service-Line Operations, • Oversee daily operations across the Skilled Home Health Agency and Medical Group Home programs, • Ensure operational consistency across multiple locations and programs, • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, resources, and workflows based on resident needs, acuity, and operational requirements, • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements that strengthen service delivery, • Ensure operational issues are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner, • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that create consistency, accountability, and scalability, • Monitor the effective use of organizational systems and ensure appropriate follow-through across departmentsRegulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance, • Partner with clinical and compliance leadership to maintain organizational readiness for AHCA, CHAP, CMS, APD, and other applicable regulatory requirements, • Support survey readiness, corrective action plans, performance improvement initiatives, and ongoing compliance activities, • Monitor organizational quality indicators, including patient satisfaction, incidents, infection control trends, readmissions, and other established metrics, • Lead or coordinate operational audits and ensure identified deficiencies receive appropriate corrective follow-through, • Maintain systems that make regulatory requirements, deadlines, and corrective actions visible and accountable, • Support continuous quality improvement across all programsCensus, Referral & Organizational Growth, • Partner with Marketing, Intake, Clinical Leadership, and executive leadership to support sustainable census growth, • Monitor referral pipelines, admissions activity, census trends, and barriers to growth, • Ensure operational readiness to accept and safely support new residents and patients, • Identify process breakdowns that may delay referrals, admissions, or service initiation, • Support development and expansion of new programs and service lines, • Evaluate operational capacity and resource needs associated with organizational growth, • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders as appropriateFinancial & Business Performance, • Partner with the CEO and finance team to develop and manage operational budgets, • Monitor expenses, resource utilization, staffing costs, and other operational performance indicators, • Identify opportunities for responsible cost control without compromising quality of care, • Monitor key business metrics including census, referrals, payer mix, operational productivity, and revenue-cycle trends, • Use operational and financial data to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective strategies, • Support organizational profitability and long-term sustainability through disciplined operational managementWorkforce & Leadership Development, • Partner with Human Resources and department leaders to support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and employee development, • Ensure operational leaders maintain appropriate staffing levels and workforce coverage, • Support structured onboarding and development of new managers and leaders, • Hold leaders accountable for timely performance evaluations, training requirements, and employee development, • Partner with HR on performance management, employee relations, corrective action, and organizational culture initiatives, • Identify workforce trends that may affect operational performance and develop proactive solutions, • Promote a culture of accountability, recognition, professional development, and collaborationTraining & Organizational Readiness, • Ensure departments maintain required pre-service, in-service, and organizational training requirements, • Partner with clinical leadership and Human Resources to identify training gaps and strengthen workforce competency, • Establish systems for tracking required training, certifications, and organizational readiness, • Support leadership development and succession planning as the organization growsSystems, Processes & Performance Management, • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational workflows, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures, • Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into organizational performance, • Monitor operational KPIs and hold appropriate owners accountable for performance, • Utilize project management and organizational systems to improve transparency and follow-through, • Ensure critical operational processes are documented, measurable, and scalable, • Use data to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and guide executive decision-makingCommunity & Stakeholder Engagement, • Develop and maintain productive relationships with healthcare partners, referral sources, community organizations, and other stakeholders, • Represent Agape’s Way at community events, healthcare associations, and professional networking opportunities as appropriate, • Collaborate with clinical leadership to support positive resident, patient, family, and guardian experiences, • Serve as a professional representative of improvementQualificationsRequired, • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field, • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive healthcare operations experience, • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing healthcare programs, teams, or multiple locations, • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, compliance, quality assurance, and performance management, • Demonstrated ability to develop operational processes, SOPs, and accountability systems, • Experience managing budgets, staffing resources, organizational KPIs, and performance metrics, • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence organizational outcomes, • Ability to manage multiple priorities, locations, and service lines effectively, • Commitment to Agape’s Way’s mission, vision, and core valuesPreferred, • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field, • Direct leadership experience within Skilled Home Health, Medical Group Homes, long-term care, or another regulated healthcare environment, • Knowledge of AHCA, CMS, CHAP, and APD regulatory requirements, • Experience supporting medically complex populations, • Experience with census growth, referral management, and new program development, • Experience leading organizations through periods of growth, expansion, or operational
