About the Role The Executive Development Assistant plays an essential role in supporting all areas of Restoration’s fundraising program, including institutional, corporate, individual, and Board giving. POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO) is a newly refined position on the Senior Leadership team and plays a critical role in overseeing the financial and administrative functions of NMIC. The CFAO position requires a strategic, operational, and results-oriented leader who has deep experience managing financial strategy and operations and overseeing administrative functions to drive organizational efficiency. The CFAO must be both a true financial and operational thought leader for NMIC and a pragmatic “doer” with exceptional strategic change management and collaboration skills. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides housing for low- income older persons, many of whom live with mental illness and/or have experienced homelessness. WSFSSH currently owns and operates nearly 2200 units in 28 buildings located in Manhattan and the Bronx. Responsibilities: The Property Manager reports to the Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of buildings owned and operated by WSFSSH. Job Description Summary: The Supportive Housing Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within a supportive housing facility. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, staff and visitors while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. The Security Officer is responsible for monitoring and addressing security concerns, conducting regular patrols, responding to emergencies and fostering a sense of security within the supportive housing community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Conduct routine patrols of the facility premises, including common areas, entrances and grounds to deter and detect any security breaches., • Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify and address potential security threats or breaches., • Respond promptly to emergency situations such as medical incidents, disturbances, fires, and security breaches., • Control access to facility., • Maintain a log of persons entering and exiting the facility., • Maintain post until properly relieved and coordinate exchange of pertinent information transfer between shifts., • Effectively communicate with emergency services, residents and staff during critical incidents., • Summons assistance from police, fire department, and other first responders as directed., • Enforce access control policies by verifying the identity and purpose of individuals entering the facility., • Issue visitor passes and monitor visitor activity to ensure com0piance with visitation policies., • Mediate and de-escalate conflicts between residents or visitors, utilizing effective communication and conflict resolution techniques., • Report incidents and disturbances to appropriate personnel and maintain accurate incident logs., • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, such as fire drills an evacuation procedures, to safeguard residents and staff., • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and security vulnerabilities., • Maintain clear and effective communication with residents, staff and management to address security concerns and maintain a collaborative environment. Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Safety Security Officer FLSA: Non-Exempt DIVISION: Operations REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor LOCATION: Flushing, NY SALARY: $19.65 hourly SUMMARY: The Safety Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all clients, staff, and the property around the facility in a homeless shelter. Operations within our facility are available 24 hours a day. This is a relief position that requires face-to-face relief with mandatory overtime. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor and Security Manager of the Facility. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform daily inspections of all clients’ rooms, • Escort clients to appointments as needed, • Interact with and monitor clients' behavior, maintaining a good rapport by providing excellent customer service. Encourage clients to comply with the facility's policies and procedures., • Control access at the main entrance by screening all clients and visitors, utilizing a magnetometer or x-ray machine to detect and prevent weapons from entering the site., • Perform Crisis Intervention to de-escalate potential crises and document all such situations and interventions., • Make hourly rounds throughout the entire facility, including all hallways, stairwells, floors, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, and office spaces., • Respond to incidents, • Assist with client intakes., • Perform daily pack-ups and logging of client property belonging to AWOL clients., • Store and remove client property once the mandated storage time has expired, • Maintain a clean and organized storage area, • Complete logs, incident reports, and all other required documentation., • Make calls to police, fire department, and other first responders as directed., • Perform administrative and receptionist duties at the operations desk; monitor video surveillance cameras, and the fire prevention/detection alarm notification system., • Perform duties related to fire incidents, including evacuating the building when necessary, and adhere to established fire procedures., • Ensure the safety and security of all assigned equipment., • Mandatory overtime required, • Perform other tasks as assigned. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED, along with prior security experience, is required. Must have NYS Security Guard License and current 8-Hour Annual Certificate. Fire Guard License for Shelters preferred F02. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) preferred. Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime if required.
