Job Description People First Employment has team up with a Food manufacturing plant in Azusa to find an experience QA lead to assist the Quality Control team. he Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for in-process sampling of product to ensure that indicated quality specifications are met. The QA Lead must be cross functional in Food Safety to be able to perform in any area needed in the plant. • 2nd Shift, • 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Over time as needed), • Monday - Friday (Weekends if needed), • Pay rate: $26.00 - $28.00 DOE, • Temp to hire, • Must have experience with QA processing for food manufacturing., • Spanish speaking is a plus Essential Functions: • Pull in-process samples, • Perform visual quality checks and execute measurement checks, • Auditing of production packets for all business segments, • Communicate Quality opportunities with production and quality stakeholders, • Secondary Functions:, • The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for supporting production processes; maintains a presence on the floor and overseeing QA staff and answering questions when they arise, • Takes ownership of production & quality records, • Oversees the post-operational inspection to ensure the facility is prepared for an exceptional pre-operational inspection, • Performs daily GMP audits in production and the warehouse, • Performs audits on production packets for Quality Assurance, • Enters trends and pareto information into database, • Executes ATP and Environmental Swabs, then record data, • Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (“GMPs”), • Trains all department staff on the proper way to complete documents and to follow food safety procedures and protocols, • Gathers information/production packets as needed for audits or management, • Assist in lot investigations and processing, • Administrative duties, such as but not limited to, filing, distributing paperwork, typing, etc. Qualifications (Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): • Minimum two years’ experience in quality, in the manufacturing or similar industry, • Knowledge of HACCP (preferred), • Knowledge of PCQI (preferred), • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), • Ability to track and log measurements, • Good written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish is a plus)Company DescriptionSpecializing in the placement of professionals in the logistics & manufacturing world, People First Employment can help you find the job you need to get to the next level!
