The ideal candidate will assist the ophthalmologist in delivering high-quality eye care, perform diagnostic tests, and support patient education. Fluency in Russian is required, as many of our patients are Russian-speaking and require communication in their native language. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for eye exams and procedures Take patient medical histories and record visual acuity Perform diagnostic tests including: Visual field testing Optical coherence tomography (OCT) Fundus photography Tonometry and refraction Assist the ophthalmologist with minor procedures and surgeries as needed Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic instruments and equipment Ensure accurate documentation and data entry in electronic medical records (EMR) Provide instructions to patients regarding medications, treatments, and post-visit care Translate and communicate medical information clearly and accurately to Russian-speaking patients Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and workstations

Must have a secure, remote setting in the home, and licensure in NY is required. (Active LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC). Schedule and shift details: Completely remote, adjustable scheduling. The therapist can set their hours seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST. The therapist must work two days a week till 8 p.m. or 4 to 4 hr shifts on the weekends. No on call.
