We have an opening for a home health aide to join our growing team. You will be tasked with helping patients with personal hygiene, minor medical needs, housekeeping, and other daily needs as required by the patient. To excel in this role you should have an interest in health care and the ability to work with limited supervision keeping the patient's needs as your top priority. Home Health Aide Responsibilities: Helping patients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily tasks. Performing basic health care services for patients, including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication. Helping with general light housekeeping. Making transportation arrangements as needed. Working with a nurse, personal care aide, CNA, nurse aide, nursing assistant, and other caregivers and in-home care professionals. Observing and reporting on patient's condition. Keeping up with in-service training. Home Health Aide Requirements: High school diploma. Reliable transportation. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be able to provide references. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Have good personal hygiene. Able to do light housekeeping.
All Shifts Available! You can work 1 to 7 days per week* Weekends only or a combination of weekday and weekend hours $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS (FULL TIME ONLY) AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR WEEKENDS! *Must be able to work every other weekend 7.5 hour shifts are available - Full-time status for more than 32 hours worked weekly! Provides direct personal care under the direction of the nursing staff. Provide companionship and basic care to patients, re-positioning, toileting, monitoring and reporting change in patients condition to head nurse. Assist with ADL's and personal hygiene and maintain a clean and healthy environment. Respond timely to patient’s needs. Previous experience in a nursing facility (Long Term/Short Term Care - Sub Acute Rehab) patient care preferred but not required, basic training and orientation will be provided to the candidate selected. Ability to build a rapport with patients, must be compassionate and caring and familiar with medical terminology. Ability to work well in a team environment. Must provide completion of the State of NJ approved nursing aide training program with a current State of NJ certification required. STATE MANDATED MUST HAVE CURRENT FLU SHOT MUST BE UP TO DATE WITH COVID VACCINE - INCLUDING BOOSTER!
