For more information on RealCold, please visit . Role Overview: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for assisting with aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees of that reflects our business objectives. The HRBP will be a strong HR professional, effective communicator, with knowledge and experience in federal, state and local labor laws, be a creative problem solver and a true business partner, who can help the company meet its strategic and operational objectives through effective management of its human resources. This position is on-site full time and located in East Hanover, New Jersey. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: • Contributes to establishing a solid HR services foundation to support RealCold’s growth and positions us as the Employer of Choice., • Work in close partnership with respective leaders, as well as with the HR team., • Responsible for HR activities associated with opening new facilities in assigned region., • Full recruiting responsibilities associated with salaried and hourly positions in assigned region., • Works closely with management and employees to maintain positive work relationships and morale, and foster engagement and retention., • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations in assigned facilities and region., • Conduct exit interviews., • Assists with bi-weekly payroll, ensure all hours are entered and approved for team members., • Working closely with management establish retention plans for hourly warehouse team members., • Provides day-to-day HR guidance to management (e.g., leadership coaching, employee counseling and progressive discipline, career development, training, HR policy guidance and interpretation, including updates to policies and procedures as necessary, etc.), • Works with management for career progression in line with RealCold’s structure and policies., • Provides guidance and contributes to workforce planning activities., • Assists with the rollout of HR initiatives (e.g., talent planning, succession planning, annual goal settings, performance reviews, etc.)., • Under the guidance of the VP, HR process all ADA and FMLA requests., • Acts as an expert for regional HR matters addressing or providing recommendations on a vast range of HR fields (disciplinary matters, terminations etc.) aligned to RealCold’s policies as well as US State and Federal laws., • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, as well as monitoring and assuring the company’s compliance with existing and forthcoming federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations., • Assist with New Hire Orientation for newly hired team members., • Acts as the regional expert in all HR-related matters and ensure compliance in HR with all local, state, and federal laws., • Contributes to other HR initiatives as required., • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred, • Five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources in multiple disciplines; including, but not limited to: employee relations, talent management, talent acquisition, and performance management, • Professional HR Certification(s) required., • Proven experience in talent management, culture change, organizational development., • Superior interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and engage at all levels of the organization., • Business savvy with a consultative approach and superior ability in partnering with the business to provide feedback, coaching, advise and support., • Excellent time management skills., • Must be able to work independently., • Ability to balance operational and strategic mindset and juggle multiple tasks., • Effectively aligns work with the business priorities with ability solve problems and innovate., • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite., • Time will be spent in an office setting but at times in the warehouse in temperatures below 30 degrees for extended periods of time., • Flexible work hours to support operations., • Typical workweeks standard 40 hours., • Environment may be fast paced. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, heat, cold, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries.
