We are strengthening our capabilities in Corporate, Criminal Defense, Divorce & Family Law, Employment & Labor Law, and Intake. Successful candidates will work closely with our U.S. and Korea-based legal teams to serve a diverse range of clients. 1. General Responsibilities for All Areas Conduct legal consultations, evaluate risks, and provide tailored legal advice. Prepare, review, and file pleadings, motions, and relevant legal documentation. Communicate regularly with clients and manage expectations throughout representation. Collaborate with attorneys across jurisdictions for integrated cross-border solutions. Contribute to firm publications, including articles and client alerts. 2. Practice Area Specifics ● Corporate Attorney • Corporate Transactions & Advisory: Execute a broad range of commercial matters, including corporate transactions, securities and technology law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt and equity financing, equity investments, fund formation support, and restructuring., • Legal Consultation: Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance and complex contract issues., • Contract Management: Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of various agreements and contracts., • Firm Representation: Represent the firm in various legal proceedings and commercial negotiations. ● Criminal Defense Attorney • Client Representation & Defense: Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony matters in both state and federal courts., • Strategy Development & Investigation: Conduct client interviews, investigate facts, and assess case risks to develop strategic defenses., • Trial Procedures: Handle arraignments, bail applications, plea negotiations, and trial preparation., • Legal Drafting: Draft and file motions, briefs, suppression applications, and sentencing submissions., • Specialized Crimes Advisory: Advise clients facing investigations, including fraud, financial misconduct, and other white-collar matters., • Inter-team Collaboration: Coordinate with investigators, experts, and cross-border teams as necessary. ● Divorce & Family Law Attorney • Domestic Matters Representation: Represent clients in divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, and spousal support matters., • Legal Document Preparation: Draft petitions, motions, separation agreements, settlement proposals, and supporting affidavits., • Asset & Financial Analysis: Analyze marital property issues, including equitable distribution and financial disclosures., • Dispute Resolution & Negotiation: Lead settlement negotiations and represent clients during conferences, mediation, and court appearances., • Strategic Counseling: Provide clear and strategic advice while guiding clients through sensitive and emotionally challenging situations., • Global Coordination: Collaborate with financial professionals or overseas counsel for cases involving cross-border elements. ● Employment & Labor Law Attorney • Strategic Advocacy & Defense: Advise on and respond to employment-related demand letters (including ADA, NYCHRL, NYSHRL, retaliation, misclassification, and wage claims) and handle administrative or court litigation (EEOC, NYSDHR, NYCCHR)., • Litigation Strategy & Dispute Resolution: Manage pre-litigation risk assessments and settlement negotiations; draft responses and settlement communications to minimize punitive and reputational exposure., • Compliance & Document Management: Draft and review termination notices, final pay/benefits disclosures, and compliance documents pursuant to NYLL §195(6) and related statutes., • Strategic Executive Advisory: Advise management on termination timing, documentation, and communication to avoid retaliation claims; provide counsel on probationary employment, at-will termination, and cooperative dialogue obligations. ● Intake Attorney • Consultation & Engagement: Provide legal guidance tailored to client needs, present appropriate solutions, connect them with the right attorneys, and facilitate engagement agreement execution., • Strategy & Risk Assessment: Offer legal insights on optimal strategies and evaluate potential legal risks for prospective matters., • Promotion & Brand Advocacy: Clearly articulate the firm’s strengths, manage client expectations, and guide prospective clients toward engagement., • Communication Management: Address client concerns, respond to inquiries, and maintain open communication regarding case status and next steps., • Process Explanation: Professionally explain legal procedures and case eligibility in understandable language., • Multi-channel Consultation: Build trust and support conversion of prospective clients through Zoom, phone, or in-office consultations., • Collaboration: Coordinate with Legal Sales Managers and Paralegals to provide legal insight and ensure smooth intake workflows. ■ Qualifications & Preferences • Degree: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school (LL.M. acceptable for Intake)., • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant U.S. legal experience in the specified area., • Admission: Admission to the New York State Bar is required., • Skills: Exceptional drafting, research, and writing skills; ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines., • Preferences: Experience in cross-border legal matters; proficiency in Clio or similar practice management systems. ■ Salary & Compensation Range: $100,000 – $200,000 (Adjustable based on experience, skills, and performance). ※ Candidates must include their desired salary in their application email.
