Job Description Job Summary A content-rich, sequenced, relevant and coherent training program is an important pillar in high quality work, particularly in human service work. The Training Administrator will help senior staff refocus, rationalize, coordinate, logistically support, and track participation for the training program for all staff at Forestdale, starting with core, client-facing staff. In this next phase, the emphasis will be on moving from quality training workshops to a clear flow of training and follow-up that prepares staff with the basic and advanced understanding needed to conduct holistic, future-focused family work. The Training Administrator works with leadership staff to craft the content of the agency training program, with all agency programs to coordinate training and provide technical assistance to staff, and takes the lead on logistical support, evaluation, and monitoring of training. This position will work closely with Executive, Program, Human Resources, Best Practices and Performance Management staff to ensure that all aspects of professional learning and development are addressed including staff integration with practice, as well as participation in mandatory staff training. Major Responsibilities/Activities • Assembling/coordinating internal and external stakeholders who will construct the agency “program” of training, • Monitoring training curricula content and quality, • Coordinating education/training themes with foster parent training, so they are aligned, • Understanding of training requirements and mandates, • Researching models for consideration to address identified needs, • Managing agency intranet content/library, • Digitizing training materials to online platforms, • Operating training platforms (cornerstone, zoom), • Interfacing/liaising with governmental platforms for training (STARS, Workforce Institute) for staff training registration and other tasks, • Acquiring/maintaining certification for Forestdale as CEU provider, • Acting as facilitator/trainer for designated trainings, • Acting as a training resource/repository for staff/participants, • Liaising with external training vendors who will educate staff, • Monitoring staff needs to recommend appropriate training, • Maintaining communications with training participants/staff to circulate materials, etc., • Tracking and monitoring employee attendance and various trainings, • Tracking and monitoring participant feedback on training events, • Managing feedback loop on training requirement progress with staff and supervisors, • Other responsibilities, as assigned. Minimum Requirements • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Service or Education preferred.
