Job Summary: We are seeking a driven, results-oriented Freight Broker Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships, get new customer accounts, and coordinating shipments with carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and book of business, customers in hands! Key Responsibilities: • Sales Development: Identify and reach out to potential customers (shippers), develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, and drive revenue growth through proactive sales efforts., • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, providing outstanding customer service and addressing their shipping needs., • Negotiation & Pricing: Develop pricing structures for services, negotiate rates with clients and carriers, and ensure competitiveness in the market., • Carrier Coordination: Source and vet reliable carriers to transport goods. Ensure carriers meet all safety, regulatory, and performance standards., • Shipment Coordination: Oversee logistics and ensure the smooth execution of shipments, tracking delivery progress, handling issues or delays, and ensuring customer satisfaction., • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, including delays, damage, or disputes over pricing or service., • Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to stay competitive and adjust strategies as needed., • Proven experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation sales (2+ years preferred)., • Strong negotiation and communication skills., • Ability to develop relationships with clients and carriers effectively., • Knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain logistics., • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized., • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities., • Experience with domestic and international freight operations., • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, such as DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations., • Competitive base salary plus commission.
