Job Description SUMMARY: The Sales Representative role is critical for growth for Phoenix Packaging Innovations. The position is expected to cold call, prospect and add new customers to the Phoenix Packaging Innovations portfolio. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Generating new leads by researching networking, cold calling, and prospecting, • Increasing revenue and profitability through the generation of new business and further development of existing accounts, • Executing sales initiatives to grow sales and profitability within accounts, • Understanding complex requirements from customers for preparation of packaging solutions and quotes, • Managing customer projects in various industries such as Food, Technology, Healthcare, Automotive, Industrial, etc., • Educating clients on the latest innovations within our industry, • Working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment to create a positive customer experience that results in repeat business, • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: • Packaging Experience preferred but not required, • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2-year college, continuing education and/or training required (bachelor’s degree preferred), • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in new sales/business development, • Ability to use and create customer presentations, quotes, proposals, value logs, etc, • Excellent organization & communication skills; internal and external, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), • Ability to create and maintain strong relations with customers, • Team player with ability to multi-task without compromising accuracy in a fast-paced environment COMPETENCIES: • Prospecting & Lead Generation - Ability to identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research., • Solution Selling - Skill in understanding customer needs and presenting tailored packaging solutions that address specific challenges., • Industry Knowledge - Familiarity with packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends (e.g., sustainability, automation)., • Customer Relationship Management - Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients through trust, responsiveness, and consistent value delivery., • Negotiation & Closing - Strong negotiation skills to secure profitable deals while maintaining customer satisfaction., • Territory & Time Management - Efficiently managing sales territory and prioritizing tasks to maximize productivity and coverage., • Technical Aptitude - Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications of packaging products and machinery., • Project Management - Coordinating with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer projects., • Communication Skills - Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication, including the ability to present to diverse stakeholders., • Adaptability & Resilience - Thriving in a fast-paced, competitive environment and bouncing back from setbacks or rejections.
