Job Description Schedule: Wed,Fri 8a - 6p | Sat,Sun 7a - 5p Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Salary Range: $48.90–$73.36/hour Position Summary Performs routine and selected special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures and assists physicians as needed. Prepares, operates, and maintains imaging equipment. Develops and processes images and digital media when required. Adheres to established radiology standards of care. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and duties and performs quality assurance activities. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures, including diagnostic and select special procedure medical radiographic imaging utilizing CT assistance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Adheres to established performance standards, policies, and professional behaviors, • Prepares and positions patients correctly for examinations, following protocol-specific requirements and ensuring proper documentation, • Produces high-quality technical images and reviews completed exams for quality and completeness based on the ordered study, • Assists physicians during procedures as necessary, • Performs equipment quality assurance checks, calibrations, and orders supplies as needed, • Provides coverage for emergency procedures and supports on-call, holiday, overtime, and varied shift coverage as required to maintain safe operations, • Maintains cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and accessories; reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel, • Processes films or prepares digital media when needed, • Performs routine clerical duties, including answering phones, reviewing prior reports or images, and documenting patient information within electronic imaging systems, • Coordinates patient transport when examinations are completed, • Communicates imaging findings to physicians when required and documents communications appropriately, • May serve as an instructor or preceptor, • Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues, • Introduces self and educates patients and family members regarding ordered examinations, • Provides age-appropriate care for neonate/newborn, pediatric/adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations, • Attends staff meetings, training sessions, and in-services, • Performs additional related duties as assigned, • Duties and schedules may change based on operational needs Education and Experience Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required, • Graduate of an accredited allied health education and radiography program or equivalent, • State licensure required, • ARRT and/or NMTCB certification required, • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire Core Competencies • Teamwork, • Adaptability, • Communication skills, • Problem-solving, • Planning and organization, • Attention to detail, • Judgment and decision-making, • Stress tolerance Physical and Mental Demands / Work Environment • Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time, • Occasional movement throughout the department to access patients, equipment, and documentation, • Frequent operation of computers and office productivity equipment, • Regular communication with patients to exchange accurate information, • Ability to observe and assess patients and staff, • Frequent movement and positioning of patients for imaging procedures, • Potential exposure to chemicals required for job duties, with safety information available through standard safety data resources
