Job Description Playalinda Brewing Company-Brix Project location is a 150-seat brewery and restaurant located on Florida’s Space Coast in Titusville, Florida. We are currently recruiting an energetic and organized individual to function as a Server for our fast paced, high-volume brewpub. The successful candidate will employ their hospitality skills, providing an amazing experience to our Guests through a unique and welcoming environment. Servers are expected to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to, stocking supplies, serving Guests, handling cash/credit cards, POS system operations, cleaning tables/counters, resetting tables, and greeting Guests. Servers will experience long periods of working on their feet and are experts at customer service. Must have an open schedule and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays and work 20-30 hours per week. Essential Functions • Prepare tap room for business by organizing menus, sorting silverware, stocking water glasses, water bottles and side plates as well as folding napkins and spot checking section, • Protect establishment and Guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies, • Assist Guests with food and beverage selection by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's features; identifying appropriate beers; answering food preparation questions, • Stay updated on current menu selections, features and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc., • Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording Guest's choices; identifying their special dietary needs and special requests, • Serve orders by picking up and delivering Guest's choices from the bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from the service bar, • Respond to additional Guest requirements by inquiring of needs; observing the dining process, • Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to Guest spills or other special needs, • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting Guests to return, • Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to Guests, • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor, • Fill in for absent staff as needed, • Assist with special events as needed, • Consistently adhere to grooming and appearance standards, • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, • Correctly checking patrons Identification if alcohol is ordered, • Excellent oral communication skills required, • Positive interpersonal skills required, • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English, • Food Handlers Card (preferred), • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time., • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 165 pounds, • Ability to work in an environment where you will be exposed to heat, cold, steam, etc., • Frequently washing own hands and manual dexterity PLEASE NOTE: Management reserves the right to change or otherwise modify the functions of this job in order to meet the needs of the company.
