Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
Sewing: 8+ years (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Duties:
- Perform fittings and alterations on various types of garments including dresses, suits, pants, skirts, and more
- Take accurate measurements to ensure precise alterations
- Sew, hem, stitch, and adjust clothing as per customer requests
- Provide expert advice on garment alterations and recommend appropriate modifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Alterations Specialist or similar role
- Proficient in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics and garment construction techniques
- Attention to detail and precision in altering garments to meet customer specifications
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with bridal or formal wear
- Knowledge of pattern-making and draping techniques
