We have a 16 week booking for a 360 Excavator Operator to be part a team working at a drilling pit for a National Horizontal Drilling company. The work is at Necton near Swaffham, Norfolk. The work is using the lifting ops to move the equipment into drill pit location. Main bulk of work is to to lift pipework into position for plastic welding for the main drilling works. Drill pit experience not essential. Need to have CPCS/NPORS to 360 Tracked Machine with lifting Ops Start available from Monday 3rd June Rate of pay: £21.00 per hour week days (Weekends £30.00ph) Hours of work: 10hr shifts 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday (Weekends available from July) Duration: Temporary 4 months plus planned to complete in September. Other site to follow on to Payroll on a Monday, Payment every Friday Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract Contract length: 4 months Pay: £1,050.00 per week (With weekend overtime £1650 per week) Benefits: Free parking On-site parking
Job Description: We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Groundworkers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Groundworker, you will play a key role in preparing construction sites, laying foundations, and completing a variety of groundwork tasks to support the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, excavating trenches, and leveling the ground. Lay foundations, footings, and drainage systems according to engineering plans and specifications. Install underground utilities, such as water and sewer pipes, electrical conduits, and gas lines. Operate machinery and equipment, including excavators, compactors, and dump trucks, to perform excavation and earthmoving tasks. Pour and finish concrete for foundations, floors, and paving projects. Erect temporary structures, such as scaffolding and safety barriers, to support construction activities. Assist with landscaping and site improvement tasks, such as planting trees, laying turf, and installing fencing. Perform maintenance and repair tasks on construction equipment and tools as needed. Follow safety protocols and ensure that work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other members of the construction team to achieve project goals and timelines. Requirements: Previous experience as a Groundworker or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in operating construction machinery and equipment. Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications. Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in outdoor environments. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Health and safety certifications, such as CSCS or CPCS, are preferred but not required.
