This is a temporary position for a period of 7 months, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours and a maximum of 40 hours per week. The shift pattern will be subject to event timings, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. - Manage and support staff, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise. - Ensure all setups are completed accurately and on time. - Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction. - Communicate effectively with event planners, hotel management, and staff. - Monitor event timelines and adjust as necessary to meet client needs. Requirements: - Must have the right to work in the UK. - Minimum of 6 months of experience in a supervisory role within the events or hospitality industry. - Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. - Highly flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and event requirements. - Strong organizational and leadership skills. - Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Looking for a Catering Supervisor! It will be 8 hours per day less a 30 mins unpaid break, 5 days out of 7, but predominately Monday – Friday when we have no events or summer schools. Earliest start time will be 7am, latest finish 630pm dependent on hospitality events, etc. in which case it may be a later start and finish time so flexibility with hours including weekends is essential. Need someone experienced in hospitality, coffee shops and restaurants ideally that can hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day catering operations, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction for students, faculty, and staff. Coordinate with culinary staff to plan and execute diverse menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences. Train and mentor catering team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold food safety standards. Manage inventory, procurement, and budgeting to optimize resources and minimize waste when required Collaborate with event planners to organize and execute campus events, ranging from small gatherings to large-scale functions. Qualifications: Previous experience in catering or hospitality management, preferably in a college or institutional setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members. Excellent organizational and communication abilities, with attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
