As a vascular technologist in VelCor, your primary responsibility is to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating disorders related to the venous system. You'll be performing ultrasound studies, patient assessments, patient education, and possibly assisting during procedures. VelCor maintains staff in various locations throughout NJ so we're very flexible and you'd be able to choose what schedule and location works best for you! Responsibilities - Perform venous duplex scanning to identify deep vein thrombosis, venous insufficiency, or other vascular conditions. - Document patient information and test results accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records systems. - Provide instructions for pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care to promote optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. - Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans. - Optional- Provide real-time imaging guidance during procedures such as sclerotherapy or endovenous ablation to ensure accurate treatment delivery. Qualifications Skills: - Proficiency in performing venous insufficiency ultrasound imaging. - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with empathy and clarity. - Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient information and test results. - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism and respect for colleagues. - Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues with ultrasound equipment and adapt to challenging patient situations. - Knowledge of medical terminology related to vascular anatomy and physiology. Experience: - At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting specializing in venous insufficiency preferred. - Familiarity with various vascular conditions and treatment modalities commonly encountered in a vein practice, such as varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and venous insufficiency. - Optional- Experience in assisting physicians during vascular procedures, including sclerotherapy and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Certifications: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Availability: Per Diem Part Time Full Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm preferred but flexible.

Requirements - Must be certified as a BCBA by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board - Must be reliable, dedicated, and professional at all times - Must be able to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment - Must be experienced in writing ABA programs, creating data collection systems, analyzing data, and developing individualized treatment plans - Must be familiar with various assessments (VB-MAPP, ATEC, ABLLS, etc.) - Must be trained in early childhood development and have experience with children aged 18 months to 12 years old - Must have excellent ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in both verbal and written form - Must have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of applied behavior analysis, ASD, and how to incorporate targeted skills into functional activities and play routines - Must be flexible and open to learning new skills, expanding knowledge base, and work on professional development - Must be skilled in and able to handle/address problem behaviors - Must have proven understanding of behavior and how to address maladaptive behaviors functionally - Training in Handle with Care, CPI, or similar safety procedures a plus but not required (training will be provided upon hiring) Responsibilities - Complete intake assessments, create treatment plans, and develop positive behavior support plans and behavior intervention plans - Supervise, train, and support all ABA practitioners - Collaborate with related services (speech, OT, school districts) on a regular basis - Coordinate, maintain open communication with, and accept feedback from clinical director - Provide parent training on an on-going basis with compassion, expertise, and ability to assess and meet parent needs - Maintain excellent time management, organizational skills, record keeping, and maintenance of HIPAA compliance at all times - Submit notes and documentation routinely as per Believe in Me policies and upon request - Monitor progress and assess skill deficits in order to promote skill acquisition and decrease problem behaviors - Follow all guidelines outlined by Believe in Me including policies, procedures, and staff guidelines
Description Position Overview: The Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for the coordination and direct oversight of the medical services. The nurse will be responsible for the smoking cessation, diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, HIV, AIDS, and substance abuse workshops, medication compliance, and one on one session with each client. Four days/28 hours per week Responsibilities: Coordinating the care of clients; Liaising with clients, relatives and fellow professionals in the community treatment team and attending regular meetings to review and monitor clients' care plans; Visiting clients in their home to monitor progress; •Assessing clients' behavior and psychological needs; •Identifying whether and when clients are at risk of harming themselves or others. Assessing and talking to clients about their problems and discussing the best way to plan and deliver their care; Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment; Responding to distressed clients in a non-threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of distress; Applying 'de-escalation' techniques to help people manage their emotions and behavior; Preparing and participating in group and/or one-to-one therapy sessions, both individually and with other health professionals; Providing evidence-based individual therapy, such as cognitive behavior therapy for depression and anxiety; Encouraging clients to take part in art, drama or occupational therapy where appropriate; Organizing social events aimed at developing clients social skills; Preparing and maintaining client records; Producing care plans and risk assessments for individual clients; Ensuring that the legal requirements appropriate to a particular setting or group of clients are observed; Working with clients families and helping to educate them and the client about their mental health problems; Promoting a 'recovery' based approach to care. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or the Senior Director of Community Resources. Qualifications: Bachelors/Associates in nursing or alternate field NYS License as a Registered LPN or Registered Nurse required Experience working in the health field.
