Job Summary The Classroom Assistant serves as a co-pilot to the Teacher and Teacher Assistant. They are in charge of keeping bulletin boards up to date, training all new assistants, and assisting with certain aspects of the lesson plan. Qualifications and Skills: As an entry-level position, the ideal candidate for this position will have their High School Diploma or GED, flexibility for scheduling purposes, great written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for helping children unlock their true potential. Experience at a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required. We will train the right person. Must be able to pass a background check !! Must be able to relate well to parents, children, and other staff members. Must communicate effectively, have an energetic personality, and be functionally literate in English. Must have good attendance, possess organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize. Attends and participates in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events as requested. Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson plans. Decorate classrooms along with bulletin boards. Helps headteacher communicate with parents (daily reports). Help with cleaning/ upkeep of the classroom. Prepare materials for activities and daily lessons. Help set up sleeping arrangements for nap time. Help the kitchen staff with food distributions when meals are served. Open/ close classrooms as needed. Manage all aspects of the food and beverage program, focusing on organization, inventory, and quality. Enhance staff knowledge of wine tasting and service, fostering continuous improvement. Coordinate front-of-house actions to ensure seamless collaboration and exceed guest expectations. Lead by example to cultivate a positive, professional team environment based on trust and integrity. The successful candidate will be supporting a busy private individual based in Irvine, California, and lives locally. This position is part-time 10-2pm or 11-3pm, Monday to Friday. The position is a combination role based in our Irvine office and the home office which is nearby. The pay is up to $35 an hour depending on experience. There is a real opportunity to grow!
