We are looking for a CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist responsible for programming (either at the machine or CAM-assisted) setup, operation, and documentation of jobs in a manufacturing shop with a close tolerance environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up, program, and operate CNC Lathes with standard and multi-tasking capabilities.
Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per plant manager schedules.
Maintain a high level of quality as identified by customer requirements.
Requirements:
Possesses basic math skills and can use various hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Experience inspecting parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment.
Proficient at blueprint reading and understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T.)
Ability to select proper tooling to manufacture complex details.
Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Can remain flexible with working schedules, including overtime, evenings, and weekends.
Has worked in a fast-paced, low-volume - high-mix environment.
Work with speed and accuracy while maintaining a sense of urgency.
High School Diploma Required/ G.E.D Equivalent.
Seven-plus years of progressive experience in a manufacturing machining environment.
Programming experience of three to five years with CNC Lathes.
Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of CNC lathes.
Experience machining tight tolerance parts.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
