Job Title: Driver Reports To: CRS Dispatcher & Operations Team FLSA Status: Exempt (if salaried); non-exempt (if hourly) Department: Operations Summary: Completes assigned daily tasks for deliveries and pick-ups of furniture, technology, and contents and assists movers by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Operates company trucks in a professional, safe and courteous manner.* 2. Delivers equipment (dollies, crates, etc.) to clients’ origin location pre-move. 3. Drives truck to location and assists movers in packing and loading truck.* 4. Must protect all items loaded on truck to minimize damage with cloth pads, proper placement & strapping technique. 5. At destination, ensures delivery and placement of items that were moved in accordance with project scope. Reports to foreman or project manager if applicable.* 6. Ensures delivery trucks are clean and in good working condition.* 7. Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.* 8. Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management.* 9. Assists the warehouse manager and movers to include lifting and carrying cartons and contents and placing them on appropriate shelves in warehouse.* 10. Responsible for getting appropriate paperwork (examples: BOLs, Pros) signed and returned to Dispatch/Operations upon return to warehouse* (unless Project Manager or Foreman on job, in which case they can be responsible for paperwork completion and return) 11. Provides customer with BOL receipt upon completion of job. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos including BOLs and Pros. Ability to write simple correspondence. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates and Licenses: Commercial Driver's License Preferred but not required to drive all trucks. Responsibilities: Receive and process incoming shipments of produce, verifying contents against shipping documents. Prepare outgoing shipments of produce, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality. Pack, label, and stage orders for shipment according to shipping procedures and customer requirements. Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) or other software to track inventory and shipments. Coordinate with other warehouse staff and shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Inspect and maintain shipping materials, such as pallets, crates, and containers, to ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping area, including clearing debris and spills as needed. Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment preferred. Knowledge of basic computer applications and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
